Report on the Impact of COVID-19 on Individual Giving
Charities of all sizes have felt the severe impact of COVID-19, UK-wide. In response to this, we have compiled a report analysing the pandemic’s effect on individual giving.
The report is designed to help you benchmark and gain a deeper understanding of how supporters are responding to the crisis, with actionable insights you can use to shape future fundraising strategies.
The report focuses on data sets Woods Valldata accrued from 18 clients, covering 34 campaigns with a sum mailing volume of 2,955,000, from the start of February 2019 through to the end of April 2020.
The data sets are measured against comparable data from the previous year, along with forecasted expectations, displaying predominantly positive patterns.
One key take out is that there has been a 25% increase in actual vs. predicted responses to cash campaigns, in large part due to the incredible success of emergency appeals, which have outperformed forecasted expectations by 40%.
