Woods Regulatory Roadshows prove a great success with more coming soon

At the Woods Group we believe that providing our clients with a thorough understanding of the most up to date Gambling Regulations is key to running successful prize-led fundraising campaigns. This is why we have been running Gambling Regulatory Roadshows since last year, which have proved very popular.

“The degree of detail was excellent. Recency of content too” Amnesty International UK

The Woods Group have been providing specialist fundraising services for charities since 1998. As a leading External Lottery Manager, we are Gambling Commission Remote Technical Standards (RTS) Accredited and are proud to hold PCI DSS Level 1 Status – so we are uniquely placed to assist you in making your Raffle, Lottery or other prize-led fundraising campaign, as successful and compliant as possible.

Our Roadshows aim to provide you with expert knowledge of the regulation surrounding the prize-led fundraising sector. The sessions provide information on the fundamentals of the Gambling Act specifically in relation to charities. They aim to inform you of all the current regulatory details that you will need to comply with during implementation of your campaigns; including required licences, the current code of practice, remote technical standards, rules and terms and conditions and reporting commitments. They also detail the organisational roles and responsibilities that the Gambling Commission expect you to understand, and comply with.

“A good overview of regulations and current issues and trends” WaterAid

The days are run by the Woods Group and feature Anna Mathias of Woods Whur as our key speaker. Anna is a barrister and is one of the most experienced lottery regulatory lawyers in the sector. She has been a key adviser to the Lotteries Council and its members for many years, dealing with all manner of enquiries from charities and their commercial lottery partners.

Our Roadshows are by invitation and places are limited. They are suitable for all levels of attendees, from those who are new to prize-led fundraising, to those who want to refresh their knowledge and get an update on current regulations.

We are currently in the process of finalising our Autumn 2017 and Spring 2018 sessions. To make sure you have first refusal on a place at our next roadshow, or to find out more, please get in touch with Andrew Taylor at [email protected]
