Introducing three new members of the Woods Valldata team

We had a busy summer this year at Woods Valldata, recruiting and expanding our dedicated team yet further. We are delighted to be able to introduce you to three of our newest members of staff.

Joe Keohane – Development Director

We caught up with Joe Keohane, our new Development Director, to see how he’s been getting on since he started at the end of May.

What is your background before coming to Woods Valldata?

Prior to Woods Valldata, I was the Group CFO of Corserv Group, a £250m highways construction business. My work experience has covered most business disciplines over the years, and I have a particular interest in business growth and strategy.

What are your key responsibilities in this new role?

I am tasked with delivering profitable and sustainable business growth for Woods Valldata through new business streams and potential acquisition.

What are you enjoying most about working at Woods Valldata?

I am delighted to work for an organisation that provides top quality services to so many of the UK’s best-known charities. The depth of charity and service experience within the company is immense and I am excited about the potential to open up our wide range of services to new audiences.

What keeps you busy outside of work?

I enjoy trail running and mountain walking. When I am in North Cornwall, I like to get out to sea on my boat and support my kids with their water-based activities.

Tracy Gerrard – Fulfilment Manager

Based on increased activity and campaign volumes, we have introduced a new Fulfilment Manager role, reporting in directly to Martin Kirk, our Chief Operations Officer.

Tracy Gerrard was welcomed this July to this new role and heads up a department consisting of 2 supervisors, a team leader and over 15 members of staff. Tracy tells us a bit about her new role.

Please can you tell us a bit about your new position?

My position is a new role created as part of the management team at Woods Valldata to support the outbound operations of the company. My key day-to-day responsibilities are to direct and control all outbound cut sheet printing and fulfilment operations of the company to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively.

What experience do you bring to Woods Valldata?

Prior to this role, my 30-year career has been based in Financial Services. For the last 16 years, I managed a variety of teams and, during the last 6 years, I’ve held both senior management & operational roles. I have extensive people management and coaching experience across a wide variety of teams, which I am already drawing upon here at Woods Valldata. I am confident it will enable us to achieve great things!

Although it’s only been a short while since you joined us, what are you enjoying most about working here?

It’s a new role so being able to shape the fulfilment team and processes is a positive challenge I’m enjoying so far! It’s also a fantastic opportunity to deliver an even better experience for our clients by working with the wider management team. I feel part of a very welcoming company already.

Finally, how do you like to spend your free time?

Supporting both our children keeps me busy as they have both recently purchased their first homes. I enjoy planning and going on holidays with my husband. I also like cycling, but am very much a fair-weather cyclist!

Natalie Shoebridge – Account Manager

Our thriving Client Services department is always on the lookout for amazing Account Managers and Executives. When an opening came up this summer for an Account Manager to look after several of our busiest charity clients, Natalie was a clear winner. Natalie reports to Katie Marsh, one of our Client Service Managers and joined us in August.

Can you tell us a bit about your new role as Account Manager at Woods Valldata?

The key thing in my new role is to be highly organised and to build trusting relationships with the clients that I work with. I am a real people person so this is the part of the job that I enjoy the most. Client Services is at the centre of all we do for our clients so our robust processes and organised approach really help us build these relationships.

My key responsibility is making sure that our clients’ campaigns run as smoothly as possible. No two days are the same which means you never have a dull day.
 
What was your background before coming to Woods Valldata?  

Post University I spent 18 months working in Disney in Florida – it was like University but with money! When I got back I moved to London. I worked as an estate agent for a year in Camden but hated it. I decided I loved travelling so I applied for a job at British Airways and spent the next seven years working in Customer Service/ Cabin Crew and Cargo. I then moved to Bath and started working in Client Services, applying many of the customer handling skills I had gained at BA. That was seven years ago and I’ve never looked back.
 
You’ve only been with us since August but how are you enjoying Woods Valldata so far?

I love the team that I work with. They have been so supportive and helpful. Also all the processes – I like to have an order about things and the Woods Valldata processes are excellent.

How do you like to spend your time when you’re not working?

Well it sounds corny, but I love catching up with friends. I have friends and family all over the country so spend a lot of time visiting. I’m also lucky that my family have a boat, so we enjoy weekends out sailing along the south coast of the UK. And, as I’ve already mentioned, I love to travel so I’m always researching the next place to visit.
